Derbyshire County Cricket Club, representing the historic county of Derbyshire, is among the eighteen first-class county clubs in England and Wales. Established in 1870, the club initially held first-class status from 1871 to 1887. In 1895 the team was welcomed into the County Championship. The club also competed as a List A team since the inception of limited overs cricket in 1963 and as a senior T20 team since 2003.
Derbyshire's home ground is the County Ground located in Derby, which has a capacity of around 9,500. The team's playing colours are white and blue, and their logo features a falcon, which represents strength, speed, and agility.
